End of the month, time for our regular month end update. I do have a few goodies for you, though. Like last month, I've got a few new artwork sneak peeks from our upcoming books. But I've also got a reward ready to go out. Remember this from our Kickstarter campaign?
Well, we unlocked that, along with a bunch of other fun things! But this one is now ready for you!

Hello Eye Spies,
It'll be a pretty quick update for this month. No major news, work continues on our two books behind the scenes and there's been movement on our revised Stretch Goal supplement. The original projected date during the campaign for the PDF to release to backers was November this year, and though I think it'll be some time still, everything looks on track to deliver earlier than that. Fingers crossed!

Heroes of Action & Wonder, which Matthew notes contains a campaign structure for crossover between every They Came From from Beneath the Sea! to Witchford Academy! is now in editing! Art Direction is finishing up on our main books and hopefully we'll see them move into layout soon. We'll know we're getting close when we start to get illustration sneak peeks. I'll share as soon as something becomes available.

Trinity Continuum: Aegis is a game of epic adventure and exploration set during Greece’s Iron Age. The setting features figures and events from history and mythology, viewed through the lens of the Trinity Continuum. In this game you’ll play Champions, Oracles, and Olympians — characters who have come into contact with the mysterious substance called ambrosia and been transformed into Inspired individuals with powers similar to Talents, Psiads, and Novas millennia ahead of their counterparts’ times. These characters live in an age of wonder and discovery. People in the ancient world made amazing strides in science, exploration, and philosophy, all while grappling (sometimes literally!) with gods and monsters. About a decade ago, bright streaks flashed across the sky and a fiery object crashed into Mount Olympus. Other pieces landed throughout the world, creating heroes and horrors wherever they touched down.
Trinity Continuum: Aegis continues to explore the Trinity Continuum’s themes of hope, sacrifice, and unity — in an age where societies are in decline and survival sometimes feels uncertain, these are the tenets under which people band together.
June '23 Update: Onyx Path Con Panel

Hello Eye Spies,
Before our regular month end update, I want to share the recording from the They Came From panel from the recent Onyx Path Virtual Gaming Convention. The team spends the first 30 seconds dealing with the audio fun of a Silent Movie, and then get's right into the They Came From goodness!
Of course, since this panel was recorded, we recently completed the Kickstarter campaign for the They Came From the RPG Anthology! The campaign previewed 5 of the genre games contained in the book, and the final version will have an additional SIX to cover a wide variety of They Came From possibilities. Once we've got a pre-order link up and running, I'll share it in our next monthly update for those who missed out on the fun.

May '23 Update: Action & Wonder, RPG Anthology, Status Check In

Two pieces of business to talk about in this month's update. The first is an update on our Stretch Goal supplement, which went off-track and back to the drawing board. The second is an announcement about Onyx Path's next kickstarter - and the next release for the They Came From game line, all in one!
First up, let's re-share those draft manuscript links.

As noted above, I have a supplement Update: During our campaign, we unlocked a supplement with new archetypes and powers inspired by '80s action icons (in particular, Conan and other catch-phrase prone action stars). The developers and writers nicknamed this "They Came from the Danger Zone" and had a lot of fun writing and developing the manuscript for this supplement. So much fun, in fact, that they wanted to expand the idea even further.
It turns out, there's still a lot of game space to explore in the 80s action genre, so they've turned that project into an even bigger project that grew from the seeds of inspiration provided by our supplement. Not only that, they also took the name! The team felt that "They Came from the Danger Zone!" was a better umbrella term for this new project, and our Stretch Goal supplement reward has been renamed "Heroes of Action & Wonder" to better reflect the contents.
There may be some confusion when you read over the past few progress reports or monthly meeting notes thanks to the title swap, but from here on out, our supplement reward should be referred to as "Heroes of Action & Wonder" and the bigger project they're developing will be called "They Came from the Danger Zone!".
So, a bit of one step forward, two steps back on that one. BUT - the They Came From development and writing teams have used this exercise and process to really hone their techniques for the game line, and I think the writing will proceed quickly. In fact, they're so confident in their ability to develop and create They Came From material that they've pitched a fun new idea for the next They Came From project.
Finally, OnYX Path has confirmed the name of the next game in the They Came From… series: They Came from the RPG Anthology! This one’s a little different than the rest though, and the clue’s in the title. This newest They Came From… isn’t another single genre piece, but a compilation of multiple genres, spanning the big screen, the small screen, the stage, and possibly even more besides!
Why “possibly”? Well, when our Kickstarter campaign launches, one of the first things you’ll likely read about is the polls we’ll be running throughout its duration. Every Monday another poll, and every poll adding a new genre to the book. They Came from the RPG Anthology! already includes:
They Came from Cowboy’s Gulch! (Westerns)
They Came from the Mean Streets! (Noir)
They Came from Bridgton Rectory! (Costume Dramas)
They Came from the Interstellar Starship! (Space Opera)
They Came from the Bard’s Quill! (Shakespearean Plays)
But we’ll be adding a further four chapters (at least) to this book from a selection of options you get to vote on!
Each new genre contains at least five Archetypes with new Tropes and Quips, and new Cinematics too! What’s more, each genre presents an array of antagonists for you to combat and some introduce genre-specific rules and features you can choose to use in your own games.
That’s not all though. They Came From the RPG Anthology! provides two new system offerings for our loyal audiences:
The Quick Play System is a condensed, streamlined, and – as the name implies – quick system you can use for all your games of They Came From! So if you find the current system too complex for your games, you’ll enjoy this slimline version of character creation and the accompanying rules.
The Storypath Ultra System is the updated version of our existing Storypath System present in games such as They Came from Beneath the Sea!, Trinity Continuum, Scion, and Dystopia Rising: Evolution, and They Came From the RPG Anthology! is the first place you’ll find it in print! So if you’re interested in the future of Storypath, this is the campaign to back.
